This page has been put together to help you get the most from the new Waveney Web site.

Whilst I have tried to cover most of the main aspects I'm sure there some areas that need further clarification so please do not hesitate to call me on 01502 676038 or email me on Mike@ukkiss.e if you have any problems or queries on this site.
When you visit the www.waveneyweb.org website you will see that the page is split into three sections. The left column, the central section and the right column.
On the left column you will see the main menu (as seen here in the image on the left)

Clicking on "Home" from anywhere in the site will bring you back to the front page.

Clicking on "Contact us" will start up a web based email that is really set up for the public to contact us.

Clicking on "Newsfeeds" will bring up a selection box where you can choose to read the latest news from the Lowestoft , Beccles & Bungay Journals and the EDP.

The next section is where you login to the site. Type in your user name, password and if you want your system to remember these details, click the remember me box.
However the login will only work if you have previously registered your details.

If you have yet to do this you need to click on "Signup"
If you have already registered but cant remember your password, click on "Forgot password" and the password recovery system will take you through the required steps.

The "online" box gives real time information on who is currently visiting the site and who is the latest member to sign up.
Clicking on "Signup" will bring up the registration screen in the center section similar to the image on the right.
The first box is where you enter the name you wish to displayed, such as "Mike Pickles"

The next box is for the user name you want to use to login with. You can use your name again but this will be case sensitive so it's usually better to pick a single word like "mikepickles"

Real name is used in the members section and is really there to cover sites that I've built in the past where people use different Display and real names. You can just enter your Dispay name again.

Password should be at least 6 charactors long and something you can remember. For security reasons it is usually beeter to choose a mix of letters and numbers.

The repeat is just a double check that the password is correct.

The next section is for a valid email address which again is repeated to try and ensure we get a valid email. You can then opt to hide your email address from other users if you wish.

Once all the boxes have been filled click on the register button at the bottom.

The application will be forwarded to myself and I will activate your details and ensure you are given the correct access permissions to currently hidden parts of the site.
